Lost in the photographs
Back from the Cold Springs and right back to the art projects.
Got the itch for a new adventure and came across a $150 one way Southwest flight to L.A. Departed Fort Lauderdale a couple weeks later.
Had a week or so advance notice of our snorkel trip so we gathered a couple items before our departure. She got a 360 Gopro and I got a Telesin Dome built for a standard Gopro to get a half above and half underwater (aka 50/50) photograph. We tested all the gear on a Fort Lauderdale snorkel boat trip.
We took off in a minivan rental 1 evening and worked our way through as many Cold Springs as we could in the week or so we had.
After a week of Cold Spring hopping I found the crisp cool water leaving me feeling naturally invigorated and incredibly energized, and while I’m not normally a fan of cold water compared to tropical climates, I found myself really missing it once the trip came to an end.
After Bahamas I stayed in Florida for a few months helping my friend with his various art projects and now nonprofit organization called “1000 mermaids”, an artificial reef project. ~ https://1000mermaids.com/
I struck up an acquaintance over Social Media with someone who had mirrored some of the places I worked and lived at (The Hostel in the Forest and Bahamas), as well as having mutual friends. Pictured above in the body cast photos being turned into a resting mermaid for an artificial reef was actually our first meeting. She informed me of a Cold Springs adventure she would be embarking on soon and invited me along to document the occasion, so a week later we departed to northern FL.
I don’t have an addictive personality but it’s probably safe to say I have an addiction to snorkeling. What’s better than getting to peak into another dimension for hours at a time I don’t technically belong to?
I worked here for 5 seasons filming and honestly a lot of it was pseudoscience and woo woo spirituality that usually made my eyes roll around my head, but Jetsunma was probably the leading lady of authenticity. Deep thoughts and wise words. Still yet to read her book, but she spent something like 12 years meditating in a cave and was accepted as a Tibetan Buddhist monk in the Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school. If you aren’t much of a book reader, I definitely recommend you watch some of her talks on youtube.
Season came to an end once again and as it stands now my last, and as usual I headed to Ft. Lauderdale.

And as it usually goes after a few days in Fort Lauderdale due to my 90 day limit in Bahamas I was back before I knew it.
After trim camp in Oregon I found a great deal on a rental car, then was on my way to California to help my brother out with a couple projects he was trying to get completed.
Christmas passed and it was time to depart, once again returning back to the Bahamas.
I only spent around a week in Vancouver but that was more than enough time to turn it into a top 5 favorite city of mine.
After a week of exploring Vancouver and hiking around Whistler a friend and his girlfriend came up in his travel van to give me a ride down to Oregon with them to work on a “farm”.
10 pairs of sticky scissors later and a few grocery bags of weed filled I was renting a car and heading for L.A. with a quick stopover in Sacramento on the way.
Left paradise for a little more paradise until heading up north to eventually make my way West.

Shortly after the WV birthday trip I went up to NYC for a weekend to visit a friend from Bahamas.
Had a friend in Canada who wanted some photo/video work done for their website, so I went back to Richmond to grab some things then back to NYC to fly to Vancouver.
Hopped a plane out of JFK airport to Toronto then straight for Vancouver.
And just like that my 3rd season came to an end and it was onto the next.
After an autumn and some of winter spent in Richmond making a solid supply of jewelry and working at a restaurant it was back to Bahamas for my 3rd season. First stop was Jekyll Island and The Hostel in the Forest.
Then a summery winter turned into summer.
